The Lister Hospital is part of HCA's award winning group of hospitals. Overlooking the River Thames in Chelsea, The Lister Hospital is recognised as being at the forefront of medicine. It is perhaps best known for its Fertility Clinic, which is one of the longest established and most successful in the UK, and its comprehensive gynaecology and breast care services for women.

Linked to the Fertility Clinic is London Andrology, a highly specialised service dealing with male fertility and diseases of the male reproductive system.

The Lister has an impressive Orthopaedic Centre encompassing a hand unit, foot & ankle service, spinal surgery and joint replacement, as well as one of the largest Dermatology Laser Units in the private sector. It also has a Gastrointestinal Centre dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of all types of gastrointestinal conditions.

Other major specialties include urology, general and vascular surgery, neurology, ophthalmology and plastic surgery. In addition, The Lister offers a comprehensive service for heart and cancer patients in conjunction with its HCA sister hospitals.

Your room

The hospital has over 60 rooms. Standard in-patient rooms are single with air conditioning, en-suite bathroom or shower. Each has TV, satellite channels, radio, direct dial telephone and Nurse Call system.

We can arrange daily newspapers, magazines, laundry, hairdressing, aromatherapy massage, reflexology and chiropody as well as a number of business services. We will happily discuss all your needs before admission, so that everything is in place when you arrive.

Catering to individual tastes

As well as providing changing daily and á la carte menus, our chefs will cater for vegetarian and other special diets. You can also enjoy the services of our dietician who will recommend the dishes that are most appropriate for you. Your visitors are welcome to join you for meals in your room. Alternatively, there is a coffee shop serving refreshments and snacks.
