Epididymal Cyst

Epididymal cysts are quite common and the exact reasons why these form is unknown. In most instances they do not require any surgery, and in fact in men who wish to have children, men should be strongly advised against surgical treatment, as this can damage the sperm tube or epididymis at the back of the testicle, which acts as a reservoir for the sperm. In men who have completed their family or have large cysts which are causing pain, epididymal cysts can be excised or removed.

Again surgery is performed as a day case procedure, or overnight stay depending upon the fitness of the patient.

Epididymal cysts can also recur in some cases.
